Two Liza stories and other news

1. Yesterday I was sitting on the couch watching Little House on the Prairie with Liza, and suddenly she leans over and says, "Oh, I love you so so much" and gave me a kiss. Made my week. :)

2. Last night, Dave went in to check on the kids before we went to sleep like he usually does, and Liza had grabbed her winter stocking cap and put it on her head. She was fast asleep with the hat on, and one baby doll under each arm.

Abby is getting more grown up by the minute, really growing into her sense of humor. Boy are we in trouble. She is loving the math lately, and learning all about cute outfits and hairdos. (Holy crap.) And Caleb is really reading up a storm. He loves to read books to Liza, and he comes home from the school library with books that should be way ahead of Kindergarten level, but they're just right for him. His teacher is sending him home with homework books that are more advanced than the other kids, because the other ones are too easy. Liza knows about 90% of her alphabet now and is starting to learn the letter sounds too.

Just braggin' up my kids. :)

Dave recently got a raise and a promotion at work, if I didn't report that already. We feel very blessed of course, since so many others are out of work or worried about job security. The best decision we have made was for him to take the job at Nature's Sunshine. He really likes his job and the people he works with. They are going to have a busy year, which is a good thing in this economy.

I am having fun in Young Women's working with Personal Progress, and I even get to go to Relief Society about half the time, which I like.

We are making lists of projects we want to accomplish around here. First will be painting in the living room and finishing the new paint job downstairs, then we hope to build in a closet in our bedroom so we can get rid of the closet in our bathroom and make the bathroom bigger. We are hoping there will be room for a tub in there. :) And of course in the Spring, we'll have a newly-flattened backyard to landscape. YAY! We are also hoping to be able to build a small mud room in the back portion of our garage, so we'll have a different entry point than just the kitchen. The garage is extra deep, so there should be some room for it if we do it right. Dave has it all planned out.

Looks like we'll be kinda busy. I'm sure it will be a pain in the butt, but it'll be nice when it's all done.
